A pencil extender for BW pencils; Really? The one thing I least like about those pencils is the eraser. Not only because of its poor performance, but also, because it basically ruins the balance of the pencil by putting the entire weight up top. The best thing you can do for a stub BW pencil, is to strip the end and get rid of it. My opinion, anyway.
Now for that „Altar der Europa“, wow! The piece really blew my mind. Wonder how it looks like in the flesh. I love to see pencil artworks up close to spot how the artist made his strokes and how he handled his particular pencil’s graphite deposition characteristics. Definitely must pay a visit someday!
Amazing article and photos about Viarco. I’m deeply impressed by the designs they pop out from time to time and also by their artist products. Quite different from what you see from other brands.
I think that this extender is useful not only for the Blackwing but also for e. g. the STAEDTLER Noris 122. The ferrule of the latter may not be as large as the one of the Blackwing but it causes problems with some extenders too. Anyway, I like the idea behind that extender and it’s design!
That painting is truly impressive! I hope to have a closer look someday too.
Viarco is amazing. I have met Jose and some colleagues several times on the Paperworld in Frankfurt, and it was always a highlight of the trade show visits.

It was a pleasure for me!
